He'll pick #1 or #27...bonus points if he goes with #50.

79 was a great year for songs I remember. God I feel old.

I think he should go with 'Too Much Heaven' from the Bee Gees and sing the bloody hell out of it. The judges want to see him go to town with his range and he could do some serious stuff with that song I think. Don't know about attempting anything ambitious as Barry's falsetto though How about another one of his countrymen and do the latter half of 'A Little More Love' by Olivia Newton-John?

But ya, I could see him doing 'The Logical Song' by Supertramp. In fact he's going to really want to do that song I reckon.

You can all stop worrying about li'l Josiah living out of his car - he's got himself a record deal (surprise surprise):

Good on him. He'll probably do better than most that made the top 12.

I'm excited. The guy can write, play, and sing. I'm definitely buying it when it comes out.

Song choices for tonight. I'm really intrigued by David Cook's choice, and Kristy's makes me want to puke.

Idol is back tonight!

Oh, Idol, where have you been these last 144 hours?

My future bride Brooke is going to bring down the house with that song choice.

Some of those choices could get ugly in a hurry.

I can't wait.

Michael just rocked that!

I also loved Jason and Brooke. Their rawness and subtle vocals have really won me over.

On the west coast waiting to see the show. I was worried about Michael picking another song by this band

Looking forward to some of these

I much preferred season 4's Jessica Sierra's version of the song Carly sang, but she did ok. David A. did a great job. He proved me to me that he can sing an uptempo song.

What a great song choice by David! I haven't heard this song in a million years! But ultimately I agree with Simon that the performance wasn't great. That is a big song where one needs to really belt out the chorus.
