Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, John Coltrane

Zappa being my personal biggest loss

I'm still struggling to get over how good Back in Black is, considering it's point in time.

I thought of some more dead people:

John Entwhistle
John Phillips
Mama Cass
Otis Redding
Sam Cooke
Benjamin Orr
Falco
Andy Gibb
Marc Bolan
Alan Wilson (Canned Heat)
3 guys from Badfinger

Then I found this!

We forgot Elvis!

This list as Johnny Cash #1, and while I respect him and his musical influence I really don't think people who lived to a ripe old age and died of normal old folks health problems should be included in this, only those who died young due to their music lifestyle, so I wouldn't have put him in there IMO.

No, because none of them are dead!

However, Brian Wilson's brothers, Carl and Dennis, are.

How about Razzle that guy from Hanoi Rocks killed by Vince Neal?
