Female songwriters don't get enough love.

I have three questions:

1. Which would era would you say was the golden age of female songwriters: The early to mid 90's: Kate Bush, Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos and so on or now? Or even some other time?

2. Who are the best female songwriters and why?

3. How will people remember this time in reference to woman in music when you have people like Britney, Christina and so on?

Yup, I would say that the 90s in general were definitely the best time for female singer songwriters! Tori Amos is my favorite but I can't say who is the best. I don't give a shit about Britney or Christina (I guess Christina is somewhat better) and I don't really care too much if people don't remember my favorite female singer. lol.
