It's about Scientology, and their blatent disregard of laws.

We've always been interested in the issue, although she's way better informed than I am, and so she chose it as a topic.

SG, given the length constraints she had, she was barely able to scratch the surface. While she was researching, she'd read anything of interest she found to me, and believe me, she found some really frightening stuff. Some of the links in her paper will probably give you more details, or I can ask her to recommend other sites to you, if you're interested.

I definitely will come to the two of you when I have questions, I'm sure the paper is informative, and the links, too, but I'm also sure she can answer other questions or direct me to the answers. She's very bright and determined, and very interested in the subject

Awww! Cute title!

Alright girls, I have to get me arse to bed.
Sweet dreams ladies!
Take care!

VP, thank Sarah for the paper! I'm sure it'll be an interesting read. And woot warm weather!

Snooky, again, I am *so* happy for you I can't even properly demonstrate it. Congrats, it couldn't happen to a more wonderful person.

Night!

Her paper sounds cool VP! Scientologists are creepy! ala Tom "I'm a total whack job" Cruise.

 I think that many people think they're just harmless kooks, but it runs waaaaay deeper than that. :yikes:

I'm probably sounding like a paranoid conspiracy theorist  But...wow.

Goodnight Bri  Sweet dreams

Absolutely. Just they way they recruit people specifically with money, power and social influence is a good sign that something is wrong with the group. The financial power base they have built alone holds terrifying possibilities :yikes:

It totally creeps me out so I don't think your paranoid. Anyone with lots of money and strange ideas who want to brainwash other folks creep the heck out of me. :shudder:

This is a pretty big picture, so I'm just going to post a thumbnail. But I thought B was cute in it :cute:

Night VP

I think I'm going to try and get some sleep this time, too

Night Russty

Hi/Bye Weldy

I would totally love the paper VP :) I'll email ya.
Thanks!

And with that I think I shall go pass out as well. nighty night all.

I just read the news in the last thread. Congrats Snooky!

And I'm engaged!

I finally got the setlist from the show Ruff got for me from security. It definetly cheered me up yesterday.

Just remembered this while I should have been paying attention in class:

On my laptop, I have a wireless router. If I turn it on, I get a signal from the internet provider across the street from me. Granted, the connection is extremely slow but once I get my comp fixed I might be able to talk to you all again! :hyper:

All I need to do is get all my music onto CD's and I'll send in the comp for service ASAP.

DG!! :hyper:

For those of you keeping score at home, I got 3.5 hours sleep last night. I predict that this lack of sleep, plus the ensuing mental deterioration will last for the rest of the week. Pull up your chairs folks, and grab some popcorn. This should be fun. :|

Off to do something productive. :shifty:

And where the hell is Dis? She should be back by now.

 That's a huge step to take - do they know for sure that it would correct your stomach problems?

He only said it to help with the weight loss i'm classed as very severely obese:sad: . My medical conditions don't help as both have side effects of obesity:sigh:

I'm trying but the weight just don't go down:shrug: I'm now considering hypnotherapy to stop me from eating anything unhealthy.

It's just the down side of the stomach surgery ie survival rate that are stopping me from doing it right away.

Sorry, my mom's specialist just called, then I had to call her...

Healthy eating doesn't always come easily, unfortunately. :( Your weight consultant, does he/she teach you about healthy choices? Sometimes medical professionals don't take nearly enough time to teach something that can be rather complicated. :sigh:

That's ok. How is your mum:hug:

I'm off to a dietian tomorrow but the last one didn't help at all, we don't eat unhealthly, the occasional takeaway. I see what he says but this hypnotist i thinking about stopped my friend smoking after 20 years so maybe my problem is pschological as well

You have Weight Watchers over there, right? They're GREAT for learning about nutrition. I've gone to them in the past. Many things that you think aren't bad for you really are. :yikes:

My mom is okay, but I'm a little worried about her. I don't think her lungs have ever fully recovered from the summer and fall when she was hospitalized. :(

And I took her to see a cardiologist just before Christmas. He said the EKG she was given showed something weird, and he thinks she may have had a heart attack at some point. They're doing tests now. She had a 2-D Echo last week, and now they've booked a stress test at the hospital for next month.

That's too bad, they worked great for me. :( And I learned a lot about healthy eating, so when I need to lose weight (like now :yikes: ) I just go back on their plan, basically, with a few modifications.
