last song before the band takes the stage?

During the vertigo tour I assume the band walks on stage to the same music every night. I saw vertigo for the first time in detroit monday 24th but I didn't recognize the song that they came on to. Any help on the name of it would be great.

that pre-U2 song

so i listened to Wake Up today and I got really excited at first and then really sad because I wasn't i nthe middle of a thousand people craning to see the band come up. No city of blinding lights or curtains or confetti. it was horrible. great song though i don't think i'll ever listen to it the same again

its funny cause it was always my Q to run to my seats when I heard that song.

I'd always say "their coming on!!" and start running.

People around me whose first show it was must have been like "what the hell is his problem?"
