Okay, we're all a bit bored and kicking our heels waiting for the next leg, but we can still dream...

Here's the rules :
A U2 mini gig were they perform 10 cover versions.
They can be songs they've actually covered or ones you'd like them to attempt :)
(Remember to take into account Bono's style and range.)

01 Come as You Are (Nirvana)
02 Drive (REM)
03 Cracked Actor (David Bowie)
04 Run (Snow Patrol)
05 Lucky Man (Verve)
06 Hurt (NIN)
07 Walk On The Wild Side (Lou Reed)
08 Heartbreak Hotel (Elvis) this would be classic Bono!
09 High And Dry (Radiohead)
10 War (Edwin Starr)

Well, I can see them performing these songs in my imagination at least!

This is far from perfect....i don't think the flow is quiet right...and i don't have any Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, The Clash (Lost in the Supermarket would be so damn cool), no Lou Reed, no Damien Rice (Cold Water would blow me away) etc

1. Arcade Fire's Wake Up
2. Jimmy Eat World's Lucky Denver Mint
3. Ramones' Daytime Dilemma
4. (Edge and Bono acoustic) Abba's Dancing Queen
5. (Edge and Bono semi-acoustic, Adam and larry joining in half-way) Radiohead's Creep
6. NIN's Head Like a Hole/medley into
7. NIN's Hurt
8. The Cure's Cut Here
9. Smashing Pumpkins' Behold! The Nightmare
10. I can't decide between Hallelujah like Jeff Buckley's version or Bob Marley's Redemption Song...either song gives me the goosebumps thinking about thousands of fans singing along..."Hallelujah" or "all i ever have, redemption song"

1. Metropolis Part I: The Miracle And The Sleeper (Dream Theater)
2. The Sound Of Muzak (Porcupine Tree)
3. Heavenly Pop Hit (The Chills)
4. History Never Repeats (Split Enz)
5. '39 (Queen)
6. When You Come (Crowded House)
7. Wanderlust (Delays)
8. Thumbs Off (The Clean)
9. Six Months In A Leaky Boat (Split Enz)
10. Brothers In Arms (Dire Straits)

I'm not overly happy with the placement of Thumbs Off and the set might be better if Lazarus (Porcupine Tree) took its place, but otherwise, that would be amazingly cool. Not that I followed the instruction to take Bono's vocal range into account, but I'm not the best judge of knowing what other songs suit Bono's range anyway. I suppose they could just reinvent the songs a little so Bono could sing them easily.
