7 ESSENTIAL comeback songs for this tour:

The Electric Co.
Running To Stand Still
Exit
Ultra Violet
Love is Blindness
Lemon(I've become biased by these latest rumors, otherwise I wouldn't put it here)
Dirty Day

A possible MAJOR surprise:

ACROBAT (we can pray)

Standards:
Where the Streets Have No Name
Bullet the Blue Sky(a new, 2005 version)
Mysterious Ways(same as the above)
One(just being realistic)

Delete them forever:
Pride
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Desire(acoustic, semi-acoustic, whatever. Just bring back that Lovetown version and I'm happy. NOT GONNA HAPPEN, so, bye-bye)

Occasionally:
New Year's Day
Sunday Bloody Sunday
I Will Follow
Out of Control
11 O'Clock Tick Tock
Bad
All I Want Is You
Until the End of the World
Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me
Last Night on Earth
Gone
Please
Beautiful Day
Kite
the comeback songs

All the fuckin' time(including the standards above, of course):
The Fly
every Bomb song except A Man and a Woman, One Step Closer and Yahweh

Debatable:
With or Without You(with the Shine Like Stars verse and at least some innovative Edge playing at the end - excellent. Play it Popmart and Elevation way - NOOOOO...)
Stay(Faraway, So Close!) - Bring back the full band version. The acoustic is dull.

I think U2 should finally do a tour with variable setlists. Just like The Cure, REM, Pearl Jam, Radiohead and so many other bands did on their last tours in 2003 or 2004.

Discuss.

The Unforgettable Fire - absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one they haven't done for quite some time and as I recall seeing them do it live in 1985 was one helluva song.

U2 has a few songs that fit in with the atomic bomb motif--Seconds, A Celebration, The Unforgettable Fire, Fast Cars.

Any or all of them would be wonderful additions to the setlist in my opinion.

Wow, I totally agree with that entire post. Rock on  except I think they should do Last Night on Earth, Please, and 11 'O Clock Tick Tock the majority of the time (wouldn't that be nice  ) but basically...good one, mate. especially the delete 'em forever.

Good post.

Good comebacks: 11 O'clock Tick Tock, Zoo Station, Even Better Than the Real Thing (although it did appear sporadically on the Elevation Tour)

Even better than the real thing! Ultraviolet! Acrobat would be heaven...

I think there going to hold onto Acrobat till they really need to use it.. :( Electrical Storm as well...

why guys forgot about great song named Electrical Storm?
it's great to hear comebacks like Stories For Boys, Out Of Control, Discotheque (New Mix) to become totally mad  :D

Gloria
A Celebration
An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart
The Unforgettable Fire
Running to Stand Still
Zoo Station
Discotheque

Well, fuck it. Two songs from the "delete them forever" section got played last night, at the Hall of Fame show.
Acrobat? Riiiight. :madspit:
