time zones?

why is forum time one hour ahead for me? for instance at 7 pm it says 8 pm. i've checked my time zone and it's correct (gmt+8). obviously i can set my time to gmt+7, but i was wondering why this odd phenomenon happens.

Maybe you forgot to set your clocks ahead to daylight savings time back in April?

*tongue planted firmly in cheek*

I dont know if you're joking with the daylight savings or not yertle lol, but when certain places in the world enter summer, the clocks go back an hour. Australia is the same. I noticed though that the time set on here meant it was still on summer time do I had to make my location Singapore (coincidentally) to make it right.
Time zones mess with my head lol and I thought at first it was the time for WA and over that way. But nup.
