American Airlines seems to have cheaper tickets than the other airlines. (In my research and flying out of Chicago). Just thought I'd give a heads up if anyone's interested. :D

yes i couldn't believe it! only $216 RT to Ontario from Dallas! :shocked:

i can actually afford that! :hyper:

Wondering if Brunokiss will arrange for a Hospitality Room at the hotel for a little get together on Saturday prior to the event..you know like a meeting room, a mixer, a muster, a huddle, a hand's on suite where we can get down and dirty for the big show!!!!

Either you can do that, or you all can attend a U2 tribute band show. My band, The Joshua Tree, is planning a gig for that night local to the hotel/convention center area-TBA. Elevation USA, who is already playing the event, is probably going to be trying (if they haven't already) to secure a local gig as well for that night. I'm sure the other three U2 tributes in LA besides ourselves will be planning something too, so you may wind up with many choices that Friday and Saturday night to get your pre-dose of U2.

We will announce our show location and time on the gatherings forum in September. Hope to see some Interferencers there, or at least, get to meet you at the convention.

OMG- I've spread the word...I called the hotel today to check rates and the girl had NOT heard about the convention/fan fest event....before you know, she was nearly in tears thinking U2 was coming to the convention center next to their hotel...I straightened her out but at the same time, she told 4 other girls in the room while she was holding the phone!!!

anyway, room rates are $79 plus another $10 per person per room...standard room rates....:)

I can't wait to go! October is so far away from now :( I can't wait to see Elevation again :drool: We were a little anxious to book everything so that was done a few weeks ago. I got my stuff in the mail the other day! :hyper:

This trip with airfare and then the hotel and car divided by 4 plus the convention tickets is cheaper than any time I've been on this year. I think it'll be well worth the money too :yes:

Mr. BAW continues to spread "the word" :lol:..yesterday at Sears we bought a new BBQ; the guy loading it into the SUV saw our U2 sticker and our BTFLDAY license plate and he blurts out; "I'm the biggest U2 fan in the world"... like a disciple, I just had to invite him to hear "the word" in Ontario...he said he'd be there...!
 
well allegra and i have our hotel reservations and airline tickets, so unless something unforseen happens between now and then, we're going.
 
I can't wait for October, I wish it was only days away.
