Here's a thought ... the "L" shown in the u2.com banner is actually the first letter. The website clearly states: "your first clue is pretty easy ..." >>> the "L" is the first letter, and it was simply repeated on channel4.co.uk .

Now. We're missing 2 letters between "HO" and "LULU". Guess what? In the list there are 2 websites that we don't have letters for yet: u2.com and dose.ca

My guess: we will have another "real" banner on u2.com and that will have an "N" highlighted, and the banner on dose.ca will have the "O".

Makes perfect sense if you ask me.

Honolulu can be spelled out so far + L,U,S,T,E,O letters left if I counted right.

I have an idea. Yesterday I saw the "blue eyed boy..." banner on the Japaneese page. Again. And the first banner from u2.com reappeared today in some other place. Maybe the banners will "come back" from time to time to diffrent web pages so that everybody has a chance to see them all? So the answer is not 2 times 14 days or anything like that... ???

i was thinking it might be a lyric from or the title to Windows on the Sky.
but its 16 of U2's best tracks plus the new songs.

possibly UTEOTW or HMTMKMKM :hmm:

Good idea, suppose if " a place called verti(G)o" is gonna be copied to the Norwegian website(msn.no), and the "let her (T)alk about the things you can't explain is gonna be on the Australian website (triplem radio), and " a s(O)ng tht I can sing in my own company " in the Dannish website, and (L)over, I'm off the streets..' to the Swiss website-we have LETS GO tO HONOLULU,:dancing:


Edit: or if we count twice the "blue eyed bOy meets a brown eyed girl , because of the 2 Japanease sites, we have 2 Os, we have the missing O...:))

I printed out the sites list from u2.com and as the letters come out i put it next to the corresponding website. if you look at it that way, you will see it's spells out LETS *blank* O *blank* *blank* H O O L *blank* *blank* U L U it's got to be let's go to honolulu.
 
like someone said a few pages back.
i think multiple banners for each lyric were made in all shapes and sizes depending on the advertising space on the websites.
each site may show all the banners from each songs for those who may have missed them earlier.

so i think we use the lyrics once then move onto the next. :)

!!!! LET'S GO TO HONOLULU !!!!
 
if you read the italian competition it states something like 16 lyrics one from each of u2's classic singles featured on u218. So unless the banners from u218, we got it. and we got the tracklist while we were at it.

There's still no entry form on U2.com (at least none that I can find)...are they going to put one up? How are we supposed to submit our answers?
 
has anyone else gone to an anagram website (wordsmith) and put in the letters LETSGOTOHONOLULU ? Some interesting stuff comes up.

Am I the ONLY one.......

I have found 6 OFFICIAL banners (UK Ch 4, Hot Press, Both Japan Sites, U2.com & Sweden Tv4) and 3 that are in question (MP3, Spain 20 & Germany Laut.de).

Please let me know!!
 
Um got one question regarding the answer. I've found 3 U's all on different banners, so how does that fit in to "Let's Go To Honolulu"?

Is one of then a fake and I just missed it or something?

Here is what I found

And noone listed that one yet, no? Its definitely the one found on the Uk4 site

EDIT: I noticed something. All of the banners on the U218 site where the lyric is quoted directly under the text "Singles - etc"

The lyric is partially obscuring the bottom of the letters. Compare those banners with the early ones we found and you'll see what I mean. A photoshop by a fraud? Opinions?
