Lights, Camera, Video
In this video tour, Willie Williams, U2's Show Designer, Bruce Ramus, Lighting Director and Stefaan 'Smasher' Desmend, show U2.com members how to light - and provide visuals - for a U2 show. It's easy if you try. (Incidentally, bet you never knew there were lots and lots of hidden 'surveillance' cameras dotted around the venue!)
The Sound Guy
Joe O'Herlihy is almost as much a fixture of a U2 show as the members of the band. If you've ever heard U2 live, it'll be Joe who brought them from the stage to your ears. He's been around for ever and there's no-one better to bring you a brief tour of U2's soundworld.
'We Want It To Look Magic!'
Rocko Reedy, U2's Stage Manager, took a break from setting up the show recently and invited the U2.Com camera team on a tour of the stage to see how the production is put together at each venue.
From seven in the morning, when 17 trucks are unloaded into the venue, to midnight, when they begin to be loaded up again, U2's touring production is a mighty complex undertaking.
