FANS of mega-rockers U2 rose at the crack of dawn today to get their hands on tickets to see the band play at the Millennium Stadium.
Queues began forming outside the Ticketline office on Westgate Street in Cardiff, as early as 7am as eager fans braved the early morning chill for a chance to see their idols.
Tickets for the Vertigo 2005 World Tour go on sale today after concert dates were announced earlier this week.
Gary Pedersen 42, from Pengam Green, Cardiff, was first in the queue at 7am.
"I'm a massive fan and have seen them twice already. When I heard they were coming to the Millennium Stadium I had to get tickets.
"I'd pay anything to see them again. They're an amazing live act and it's great that they're coming to Cardiff."
