How come mediatraffic figures for best of 90-00 are so low considering worldwide sales are about 6 million??
I´m sure u218 will eventually outsell the second best of but it´s a long way to go yet.

Maybe the fact that the double-disc and single-disc versions were charted separately in some countries confused the figures a bit.
According to my calculations U2:18 has sold 3.1 million copies and shipped somewhere over 3.5 million, so yes there is a fair way to go to reach Best Of 1990-2000. The album has charted quite well but the music industry is just not as strong as it used to be and albums aren't selling as well.

Don't forget mediatraffic only counts sales for an album during charting their Top 40. Nevertheless 3 million for best of 90 seems very low.
U2: 18 should be shipped almost 4 million. This albums shipment outside of the UK was at 3.1 million at the end of 2006. In UK it sold (really) almost 700 k.

If they'd included these i'm sure the initial total would've been around 4m (instead of just 3.063m). Indeed, the other world chart had an initial total of 4,064,000 so they surely included the 2nd disc version.
I'd say total sales now are around 5-5.5m...it's sold about another 350k in UK alone since that initial run & has done well on other countries charts too, especially last year.
As for shipments - must be around 6.2m...
Shipments outside the UK were 5.2m by Jan 2003 (MusicWeek)
Shipments in the UK must now be around 950k as sales for both versions were 871,765 by 25th Nov 2006 (MusicWeek)
