MLB Thread 2015- Part 2 (World Series or bust)

The dogs days of Summer and the MLB season are in full swing. Who will be the last team standing at the end of it all?

Anyone see the video of Yankees pitcher Bryan Mitchell get nailed with a comebacker in the face? So far he has been diagnosed with a small nasal fracture. Scary stuff.

Heard about it, didn't see the video. Was at Fenway the night Bryce Florie took a liner to the face in 2000. Could hear the impact clear as day out in the bleachers...nasty.

Yeah, those are always scary.

In an odd way of things coming full circle: Eduardo Nunez was the one who hit the liner to put Mitchell out of the game, but it was his error that allowed the Yankees to win the game.

It wasn't an error! It was a fielders choice. He threw it to first with the bases loaded no outs at the bottom of the 10th. Needed to get that sure out. The most Eduardo Scissorhands play ever.

Shit, I should have said he "misplayed" the ball.

Some game last night. AR finally came through again. He was ice cold since the big 40 last month. Plus, the bullpen was helped out with CC staying in the game a decent amount.

I'm a Phils fan myself. I'm just mad we don't get a send-off farewell game and pack the stadium.
