I was so impressed by Voicst that I saw them twice again this week. One show was an acoustic showcase for which I'd won tickets! :hyper: The other show was in a really small club. The stage was only 25 cm high and the ceiling was so low that they could not use the video projections they use at their other shows. But it was still a really good gig.

Concerts in the past:
24 January: Voicst, De Helling, Utrecht
6 February: Voicst, Ekko, Utrecht (acoustic showcase)
8 February: Voicst, So What, Gouda (check them out at http://www.myspace.com/voicst)

Concerts in the future:
21 March: Arid, Melkweg, Amsterdam
28 March: Claw Boys Claw, Paradiso, Amsterdam
12 July: Doe Maar, Feyenoord Stadium, Rotterdam

In the end, I didn't go to the Arid concert (long story, but my concert buddy bailed out and as she was the bigger fan I didn't really felt the need to see them. Fortunately, I could sell the tickets). To make up for it, I did see Voicst yet another time (4th time this year already! This is getting into U2 Tour territory :) ).

Concerts in the past:
24 January: Voicst, De Helling, Utrecht
6 February: Voicst, Ekko, Utrecht (acoustic showcase)
8 February: Voicst, So What, Gouda (check them out at http://www.myspace.com/voicst)
22 March: Silkstone ( ) & Voicst ( ), Studio 31, Hilversum
28 March: Claw Boys Claw, Paradiso, Amsterdam (a wild party! )

Concerts in the future:
9 May: The Paper Chase, dB Studios, Utrecht (probably, can't refuse going to a concert with fellow Interferencers in your backyard)
12 July: Doe Maar, Feyenoord Stadium, Rotterdam
15 to 18 August, Lowlands festival, Biddinghuizen (haven't got a ticket yet, but will buy soon)

It looks like I won't be able to go to many concerts for the rest of the year, as I'll be working (and staying) far from concert hotspots like Amsterdam and Utrecht.

24 May - Bob Dylan

Aaaaaand that's it so far.

23 May - Bob Dylan
24 May - Bob Dylan

Whee! Although we'll probably sell the 24 May tickets, haven't decided yet. The ones for the 23rd are right next to the stage, score!

I saw FairplayCollective at Joe's Pub in NYC on March 6. (I flew up from South Florida) It was amazing!

I am hoping The Swell Season and / or Paddy Casey swings by close enough for me to see them.

I got a ticket for the third Wilco show in St. Louis on 5/17. X is playing the next night in Columbus, OH. If I'm back up that way by then and not completely exhausted, I might stop to see them.

Row J for me! J for JOINT! I'm guessing there will be a rather unique atmosphere on the floor...I'll wave, but you probably won't be able to see me!

Well, well, well...a month later and all of the above is coming together. :D

March 10 & 12 - my obscure musical love in Toronto :flirt:
April 29 - The Verve are coming! The Verve are coming!
May 8 - Radiohead in Atlanta! :dancing:
June 14 - R.E.M.
August 8 and 9 - All Points West/Radiohead - The announced line-up besides Radiohead is greatly disappointing but I cannot miss the boys locally. :)

Would have liked to have seen The Police again with Elvis Costello in what may possibly be The Police's last show ever at Jones Beach, but I'm going broke with all these shows on sale (except for REM) in the same month so I had to make the hard choice to pass it up. The ticket price and the fact that they left me a little unsatisfied when I saw them in August were the deciding factors... As for the rest, thank goodness for tax refunds...

Well, busy Spring on the concert front! Add to the above:

April 28 - Crowded House
May 30 - The Raconteurs
June 25 - Pearl Jam (pending ticket)

I think that will probably be it until Fall , unless somebody I must see surprises me and/or I hit a free Summer show or two.

I'd see them all :)
Crowded House pre-sale for me is next week.
Raconteurs not really playing L.A. :scream:
Seeing Vedder next week, that's kinda close, no?
