Without a doubt, we in Israel are avid concert-goers and our tastes cover a very wide range of artists - here are just a few examples of artists I have seen in concert who have played here and were warmly welcomed by thousands of fans:

Paul Mccartney (Sept. 2008 - I was there together with 50,000 people!)
As you can here, we sang with him....lol - he played up to us and we LOVED him for it!

YouTube - Paul Mccartney In Israel - The Long And Winding Road

Air supply - what an AMAZING concert that was!!

YouTube - Air Supply Live in Israel - All Out of Love

ELO part II

YouTube - Last train to London - ELO concert in Israel 2009

Paul Anka - true showman!

YouTube - Diana- Paul Anka LIVE at Tel Aviv

Blood Sweat and Tears - another GREAT concert!!

YouTube - Blood Sweat & Tears- I Can't Quit Her

Those were just a few examples of artists we love and who have come to perform for us.

There were also:

U2 in 1997
Madonna
Elton John
Guns and Roses
Michael Jackson

well I dont know that much but for me from what Ive seen to date, I go for Japanese. They all seem very dedicated and excited.

after all, watching Good Charlotte perform in Tokyo for Live 8, I never saw anything like what I seen that day, it was fantastic!

An ideal festival lineup in Israel would be with the Bee Gees, UB40 and Duran Duran headlining

lol BVS!

It isn't the year that matters - its the quality of the musicians that have performed here playing classic songs that can out-class any of today's so-called "music".

Frankly and truthfully - I would go to a Herman's Hermits concert before I'd go see Rihanna or Lady Gaga - but that's just me.

To be fair, the concerts I posted were concerts of artists that I like - there were many others that were here and that I didn't go to:

Lady Gaga
Linkin Park
Rihanna

YouTube - Lady GaGa In Israel - Just Dance

YouTube - Linkin Park - Numb - (israel 2010) HD

Actually, you're RIGHT!
I would stand in line for hours to get tickets to such a festival.
Nothing can replace good music.
