Washed Out debut album - July 12th

I know there are a number of other Washed Out fans, so figured it was worthy of a thread. They (he) signed to Sub Pop, and their (his) debut album will be out July 12th. Album's name is 'Within and Without'.

Tracklist:

Within and Without:

01. Eyes Be Closed
02. Echoes
03. Amor Fati
04. Soft
05. Far Away
06. Before
07. You and I
08. Within and Without
09. A Dedication

If you don't already have it, buy the EP, "Life of Leisure". It's very nice.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had a bit of a revelatory moment with this artist/group on account of the use of "Feel It All Around" in Portlandia. My girlfriend commented that she liked it, and I told her that I could probably find it in ten minutes. I then looked like a fool, as it evaded me for months - until, that is, it popped up on Axver's DI list.

I love that EP. That 1Bl00d character informed me of these guys back when she actually posted on this forum instead of only smoking illegal drugs with her hippie friends all the time.

So very excited about this. My only trepidation is that I tend to enjoy their music in smaller doses, so a full album might be slightly dull. Then again, it's a chillwave album, so it's probably only going to be 35 minutes anyway. I don't know what I'm talking about. Good band.

Haha. It is only 3 songs longer than the EP, so that could very possibly happen.

Excellent news!

Also, in terms of my posting, I haven't exactly been excited by much other than hip-hop for the past several months, and when I do try to talk about that here, there are mayyyyybe three people who will respond. So, it's more about that, not me smoking mas (medicinal) drogas with my friends (cause I do that all the time, whether or not I'm posting here).

Your hatred of hippies knows no bounds.

I think you might. Sort of a modern electronicy attempt at dreampop.

Try these songs on:

YouTube - Washed Out - "Hold Out" Official Music Video

YouTube - Washed Out - Feel It All Around (High Definition Video)

No worries if you hate it and want to kill everyone because of it. Well, no worries for those of us not in California at least.

I'd been wondering if he was ever going to put out a full album. Sweet. Glad that You And I is in the tracklist too.

Good news. I've only heard Feel it All Around (I was kinda hoping it'd be on the album ) but I fucking love that song so I'll be all over this.
