People can't even review someone else's list without mentioning how much mine sucked.

Oh and hey, you guys can start sending me rankings any day now. I haven't gotten one yet. Not even from myself.

Don't stress man. Yours was still quite good. If anything it's a testament to how good your lists have been. This has been the best DI I've been involved in so far

If True had been in there, I would be getting all the points.

I don't much care for it unless Buscemi is singing.

It's really one of my least favorite songs ever. It's got a few moments, but I rarely leave it on.

Liam and I were conversing about rankings over PM (cuz we're nerds) and I'm considering a slight rule change. Instead of being forced to give out 24 points per group, I think I'll be a bit more flexible and allow people to give out a little less if they want to.

Say, for instance, you really hate one list and don't want to give it any points. You shouldn't have to give the other three lists 8 points to add up to 24. The reason I haven't already allowed this is because I'm concerned that someone will give 8 points to two lists and 0 to the other two or, worse, just 8 points to one and 0 to the rest. But I don't want to make a forced minimum either. I don't know.

Tell me what you guys think.

I don't think anyone would abuse it, but maybe setting a minimum of 16 would work?

I'd like to publicly second the "we're nerds" motion.

I agree re: the points. You shouldn't have to be forced to use all of them, although I think most people will anyway.

gump:

This was a great listen.

Bright Eyes, I've never really liked them, but this was a good track. Love Lucinda Williams; that's a great album.

I'll echo others thoughts that the Wilco/Tweedy representation on a rather shorter list might have been too much, but at least I enjoyed the songs, even if I'm not their biggest fan. I think LemonMelon mentioned The Jayhawks, and yes, they would have been perfect for this playlist. Fleet Foxes could have worked as well. Also, a band I championed last time around, Winter Hours, went a bit more alt-country for their one and only full release, and something from that would have been awesome here.

But getting back to what is actually on this. Son Volt was a good band from the 90's and I liked their stuff - nice to see them here. And you have a great My Morning Jacket selection.

I don't find the appeal with Ryan Adams, maybe it's just me, but after that, the rest of this was fantastic straight through to the end. In particular, that Uncle Tupelo track was a nice way to finish.

From a transition standpoint, no complaints here. Obviously a bit easier when the same style of music is used throughout, but that's not an issue for me. Great vibe all the way through.

So yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

At least feedback hasn't fallen off too much from Group 1 to Group 2, so that's a good sign. We heard from 16 different people in Group 1 with at least one review, while in this group, there have been 13 respondents so far.

Gold stars to you and cobbler. I believe you are the only two who have provided a review of every playlist to this point (Ashley mentioned niels, but hasn't come back to it yet for a review).

I really enjoy this format. The thread for group 1 received more discussion than an entire round of polls would have back in the day. And, amazingly, this thread topped the last one.
