Nevermind, I may not go. Tickets are $42. The first time I saw these fucks it was $15.

I'm going with whatever I can find/acquire at this point, hopefully in an order like that or in chronological order.

He decided against it because he realized stealing is wrong. Oh wait, I think he only actually owns about 2 albums. He's catching up on your 4, Elfa!

Oh you guys won that? I had completely forgot about that competition. I wonder where we placed.

I'm sitting on tickets for May 1. Actually the only show I have tickets in hand for right now.

Yeah I was pretty psyched although I hate the way that they chose who got tickets.
I ended up getting them from a crappy radio station.

Picked up the EP today. I had decided to just wait and buy it before listening.

I'm really enjoying it. The demo of Talking Bird owns the original.

Only $5. That's how you price an EP. Bon Iver and Jagjaguwar, take notice.

I haven't even given much thought to it. I saw it leaked about a week ago and was too ambivalent to go for it. I suppose I'll pick it up when I see them in 2.5 weeks. That show just sold out this past week.

I wound up really glad I went to see them last night. Unquestionably the best of the three times I've seen them. The sound was pristine and the setlist was fantastic:

The Employment Pages
Your Heart is an Empty Room
The New Year
Why You'd Want to Live Here
President of What
Crooked Teeth
Photobooth
Company Calls
Grapevine Fires
I Will Possess Your Heart
I Will Follow You Into the Dark
Title and Registration
Cath
Long Division
The Sound of Settling
Soul Meets Body
Scientist Studies

Marching Bands of Manhattan
A Movie Script Ending
Transatlanticism

Only four songs from the new album, which was only one more than songs from their best, We Have the Facts. Boner and Co. should take a cue. You don't need to play a new record into the ground. I was glad almost half the set was pre-Transatlanticism.

Not a bad setlist. Not bad at all. Maybe even they realize at this point that the new album was not stellar.

Does Gibbard still look like he's gone anorexic?

That is a good set. And I heard the song "Little Bribes" from their new EP the other day and thought it was great.

And, yeah, I saw a picture of him recently and he still looks insanely skinny. Especially compared to how he used to look. It's almost hard to tell that it's him.

EDIT - Found it!

Yikes. I have no problem with people working out and losing some weight, but the dude just looks unhealthy.

I still haven't seen the EP anywhere yet, so I haven't heard anything from it.

I wasn't as close as I was last June. We kind of just tried to get comfortable toward the back since we got like tenth row without even trying last time. But yeah, he looked skinny as shit. I guess pounding Zooey all day will do that to you. Fucker.

Anyway, "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" would be a lot more affecting live if every single girl in there didn't insist on singing along at the top of their lungs. I thought it was a great song way back when, but ubiquity has killed it for me. "Scientist Studies" was my favorite song of the night. Just epic.
