you are mold
you are the disease
you are rot-
be gone from this plant!

hold onto your roots
shallow plant
you need no water
you do not grow

mocking the desert you came from
now you stand in the fields
laughing at the blooming flowers

no sunlight
no summer rain
no blowing wind
ever influences you
ever contorts you

evolved without love
changed without purpose
harm with full intent

stand lonesome
be bland
forever resilient

don't grow
don't change
don't move

red spots cover white, smooth surfaces
bitter taste and a terrible, offensive smell
all of this poisons innocent animals

cutting through forests
where beauty grows
you bring your hurt, your pain

leave me alone
clear out of my garden
stay away from my fruits

I slay the rot
I knew that stench
I grew out of it
I use pesticide now

you are mold
you are the disease
you are rot-
be gone from this plant!

(this is a poem that I wrote early in the morning about a person who reacts very harshly to the world and words they read.)
