With aching in my heart and longing on my mind

blood spills out of the open wound
onto the fabric of my life

I throw the knife away
but you know that they will put it there once again.
The wound never heals
I patch it with hope and faith that one day
I won't need to any longer.

Can you hold it there a bit longer,
just a little bit longer to keep away the pain.

when you do the demons crawl in
they rip and tear
feast on my suffering

Stand right there

when your there I can see your beautiful face
I can hear your voice thru the dark
I can almost touch you

When your there the demon can't get in
please don't move your keeping him at bay
just a little bit longer
oh a little longer
so I don't crawl back into the bottle again.

ZeroDude have at it. Its one of those things that you sometimes write just to dump some of the crap out of your head so you can sleep. Definetly not gonna win any awards.

Yep, that was just like my experience. It's still lingering around in my life, too, to be honest. But not in such a bad way.
