Hello. I've got some poems.

What do you think about them?

She still needs love

Still a child
She can't fend for herself
Her parents think she can
Achieve greatness on her own
But she can't
A helping hand is all she needs
Someone to be there to cure the
Fears, emotional heartbreak,
The lonliness that haunts
Her very soul
Look at her, she's alone
Her soul ripped open,
For everyone to see, stung
By the dust of the earth,
The outright injustice of her life.
And she crys
Tears not of agony, not of pain,
Not of physical strife
But, crying because that love
She desperately needs,
That love that keeps her young
Soul alive
Has blown away with the wind.

Calm, By the shore

See the waves splash
on the rocks
oh how it moves me
it does wonders for the soul
see the birds fly
flying without a care
in the world
see the sun set
in all its glory
laying its head to sleep
to wake refeshed the next morning
see the love, see the harmony
between two people walking along the shore
talking and laughing
embracing eachother
and gazing at lifes wonders all around
this is tranquillity
this is serenity
By the shore

Into the Heart

The sun shined down in one area of the garden. It shown upon a rose, closed to the world, unable to open and free itself to grow. So it remained as a bud.

The clouds formed rain, moisture and lightning in an instant. All of of its energy spilled onto one innocent little flower.

But nothing happened.

Both the rain and shine gave up. No effort was taken place. So, the bud stayed as it was.

A little boy walked by and layed his eyes upon the bud, curiously, he approached it. He touched it, he breathed on it, gave it water, and cared for it tenderly.

And the next day the bud opened.

The Life We Live
Living by todays standards is hard
Be one thing
Act on as another,
Things we do might make you shudder
We come back and see what we have done,
And regret it.
Helpless beings are shunned.
Fake, plastic vessels of human mark what are society should "act",
A certain way, said as "tact."
Same old routine.
Taken aback by the scene of sadness.
All of us are the same to a certian level,
We all should be treated equally.
They revel in our dismay and sickness.
We were once lost and astray,
But in our own time,
We will conqure our fears, our irrational thoughts,
Our self battles and tears.
Today is the day to be brave,
The time for each and every one of us to behace.
Forgive, forget, put the past behind us.
Express the exess of emotion, commotion
Of chaos.
Sit back in your bed and finally be at peace.
The anachy will cease.
Pessimistic emotion gove,
Disenchantment with todays society, gone.
And at last..
The serenity will be with us all.

They are cheezy aren't they? Hm.. :shh: Don't tell anyone, I don't want them to eat it! :laugh: bwahahaha.

Nope at all, they are cool :applaud: Very nice, first time? Amazing. It is actually very brave of your to put feelings down to paper :D

I especially liked The Life We Live and She still needs love, very beautiful! :)

Oh, alright! Well it's cool anyway :cool: I mean, I've been writing poems myself but never ever showed them :lol: :shifty:

:) How old are you, btw?? (Is it alright to ask? I don't wanna be rood :p)

Wow these poems are beautiful.. :) Really, your feelings are so well-shown in these writings!!

I'm sixteen. It's alright Vicks! :D

JanuaryStar! Thank you!!! :) That means alot for you to say!
I was too. But just think, we're a community, and we all love u2. Anyway, if you did post some no one is going to treat you differently. So when I posted these poems I figured, "This is my tribe!" lol. :laugh:

Anyway
-Love and peace
Christine

I love that Bono quote :lol: Wow!! You're sixteen!! I thought you were much older! I imagined you (don't ask me why) all grown-up. Like 30 or something :laugh: I'm sixteen as well!!! :wave:

Hey JanuaryStar!! :wave: Let's make a deal :wink: You post one of your poems and I'll post one of my own, alright?? :)

Lol! :lol: Me, 30? I couldn't picture it. I too thought you were grown up! :laugh: :wave: :dance: You recognized the quote! :D awesome! Wasn't it from the U2:go home, live at slane castle concert, during Out of Control? Yeah. :p

JanuaryStar, I think it's a great deal! :up:

:happy:

Comrades; would you mind if I posted a poem in this thread?

Needless to say; I doubt that it’ll be to your tastes; though one never knows. :wink:

Nihilistic wallpaper;
Peeling profusely;
Lending odorous
Charm to
A dissident fate;
Lethargically donning
A phlegmatic guise;
Sardonic ideologies.

Chequered heather;
Leatherette verbosity,
Feigning introverted hope;
As market states proliferate
Amidst provincial
Provocateurs;
Catalytic acrylics
Appease ironic
Histrionics:
Dysentery, modernity,
Papal parapets.

The arse end of banality,
Pseudo pneumatics
Appropriate delinquent
Deities;
Colonial financiers;
Colloquial saboteurs;
Enthusiastic bastards.

Tethered temptation;
Elate dilated souls,
Liquefied chauffeurs,
Liquidate
Sulphuric woe;
Enthusiastic bastards.

Nihilistic wallpaper;
Adhesive anecdotes;
Plastered delicately
Upon universal
Dedication;
Federal promotion;
The croquet of
Liberalistic
Abstinence;
Elegantly gaunt.

Frugal tartan;
Systematically siphoned,
Presbyterian hues;
A masturbatory silhouette,
A portfolio of cigarillos,
Canvassing cancerous
Crimson; ascetic
Aesthetics,
Downward; monolithic
Notion; stringent
Devotion,
Eschew paralytic
Convention;
Bubonic prosperity.

Prepubescent animistic
Declarations;
Sculpt sober economics;
Counter accountancy;
Hedonism and demise,
Moral ambiguity;
Enthusiastic bastards.

If it’s required of me to apologise in any form; just say the word! :lol:

I think it's pretty special, ZeroDude... :)

Well... The deal's ok, but *sigh*...

My computer crashed some time ago, and I didn't get to save my poems (at least I think I didn't... I'm still searching on all kinds of disks... I remember they have to be somewhere!!) :(

I got to salvage 2... Not really the best I think, but oh well... The last one is quite new actually...

Ok.. Here's the two!! If I find anymore I will post them as well, if I'm not annoying you of course ;)

Some Roses for You...

Some Roses for You
And some Kisses from Me
Some Hugs for You to Hold
There Lies a Fortune Ahead of Us Untold

MJ, 2003.

Love and Peace… Or Else

Let us be, let us live in peace
There is so much grief, around us,
Let us try and take the positive things into perspective,
Or else life will be unbearable

We need to focus, on what’s good,
Try to make happy faces, just like we should
If we all fight and spread hatred,
Life won’t really be that fragrant,
The way we want it to be…

Let’s take good look at history,
Tell me, what do you see?
That’s right, trying to make a better world is of all times…

Spread love and peace, or else…
Let everybody take off their shields and shells,
Let the world know that we’re here to love and live,
It’s the only way we can give,

Good, to the people around us,
Let’s spread hugs, and don’t fuss…

Love and Peace… Or Else…

MJ, 2006

:wave: Christin!! Me 30?? :laugh: No way!!! Hahaha, it's funny you thought that about me too!!

And ZeroDude, your poem is really cool!!! Highly original, I love new stuff :yes: The thing is half of the words I didn't understand, but I'll look for them in the dictionary, I promise!! :lol:

Wow JanuaryStar, both poems are so beautiful!!! Really nice feelings in them :hug: It's funny you find inspiration in U2 lyrics to write, sometimes when I write I unconsciously realise I've been thinking of a U2 song while writing them, or I find Bonoish influences in what I just wrote :banghead: :)

Oh and JanuaryStar, it's such a shame you lost some of your work!! :sigh: I have a notebook in which I keep everything I write :cute: in that way I avoid losing it :up:

Well, so I guess it's my turn. Any comment (for or against) will be really appreciated :)

Untitled :lol:

Hands turning into fists
Gnarled among themselves
Blood rushing feverishly along the veins
… She waits

Gritted teeth
Pressing so hard it hurts
Bloodshot eyes burning fiercely
… She waits

And she waits intently
For the moment that may never come
Only if she decides to
She’ll recover what once was hers

Chills running through her spine
A headache so strong it seems to vibrate
Every molecule of her being, all the air around her
… She waits

A rush or restrained ire motions
The body so numb for its ice
The ice in her heart now is fire
She can no longer wait

She runs, she rushes, she jumps and she climbs
Does the unspeakable, the unimaginable
Because she can’t tell why, oh why?
The warmth of blood now streaming in gushes
Running though her arms, her hands, her pale fingers
Piercing every pore, penetrating
It feels so warm
Comforting

Is there any chance such a warm blood carried love?
… Regret
The feeling she’ll never forget

ZeroDude! I like it! :D There is so much emotion that delves deep into the soul.

JanuaryStar! :happy: I really like your poems!! You get the point across wonderfully of love and peace or else! Great Job!

VickSs! :D I definitly feel regret in this poem, emotion weaves in and out of each line! Good job!

Wow VickSs that's beautiful!! Really!! I love it! :D It shows your emotions really well!

And yaaay...... I remember where I stored my poems lol... They're on a friend's computer, I'll ask him if he'll send them to me today! I'm so happy lol!! :D

Yeah, when I started writing that last one, I didn't know until I wrote it that I thought U2 influenced it, lol ;) So that means we're all secretly influenced by them :cute:

Hey, psst... Maybe we get to read our poems to :bonodrum: one day :shifty:

MJ

Zerodude is quite content continuing his literary exploits within his journal.

Nevertheless; I'm glad to see that you lot are willing to repopulate this forum.

Also if you continue to write; you’ll learn from your own mistakes; rather than having me critique each and every phrase your quill tipped minds formulate and produce. :wink:

Good luck; and enjoy yourselves.

JanuaryStar....it's actually a desert peace rose..... unfortunately the bud wilted but there is a small new bud which may or may not develop into a lovely rose....only time and nurturing will determine that. {If you don't know of which I speak don't worry because many do not anyway}.

As Zero Dude said.......good to see you all having fun...enjoy your stay at DOL.

Wizard2c... Believe me or not, but I do seem to know of what you're talking about...

I don't know why you write it down like that, but that description so belongs to me... It's creepy actually.. I really mean it... Wow :|
