"butterflies"

you chase them thru the plush vacancies,
opennings in the melting summer sky
the sun shines on their wings like gold
they flutter and dart in the empty air around your heart
colours that change with the seasons
don't try and catch them
let them fly...
maybe you can learn to fly too?

see their pretty wings paint the blue sky with the flame of life
now the colours splash your soul and capture you instead!
how do you know which butterfly is which?
they are all so free...
the wind scatters them from your reach
their souls echo with the beat of their wings
you wish one would dance around your heart...
you bare your soul, so that maybe one will fly around you?

oh beautiful butterfly... I love you!
maybe I can stay close to you and you will fly near me some day?

well, as much as I would like to say I write poetry only for me, this and several of my recent poems belong to someone else, I mean, I can't ever imagine having written them if not for this person... so they are actually for her and this is just me expressing myself, because it's the only way I can sometimes... ever look your entire life for something and just when you are about to give up you find it and realize it still exists, but then you can't have it but you know it is there, waiting...

ya, so butterflies...
