Smile, you're reading my post
Failing, liltering breaths
creeping through a shadow of my mind.
The strength you once had,
strength to hoist me upon your shoulders,
taken away within an instant.
Depreciating, descending into a vast memory of songs
holding your hand in a time I'd never want to live.
little pieces, laughters, and joys
unfold between us
your hand in mine
alone in this fucked up world I stay

I, the child, watch, as you the parent, leave
and there's nothing I can do to stop it.

thanks miss Piggy Gabor, you've saved me from the misery of tennyson and browning -

poetry sucks when it has to be studied

little pieces, laughters, and joys
unfold between us
your hand in mine
alone in this fucked up world I stay

very beautiful...the last line of this part really bites through the whole poem's beautiful imagery...

I don't think I ever told you, btw, how much I loved your poem "Sometimes I Forget To Breathe"
