I don't go for that silly Weather Channel naming stuff. But this one - in MA, looks like it's in the all time top 5. Hurricane force winds on the coast, and massive outages there. I feel so lucky to still have power. Had lots of back breaking shoveling to do, and wow..have never seen anything quite like this one. Looks like CT was hit very badly too.

It had been a mild winter here with not much snow, like last winter.

Hope everyone here who lived through it is doing ok.

We got atleast a couple feet, but nothing epically unprecedented (the greater Springfield, MA area). I've certainly seen more snow than this. It did take me about three and a half hours to clear out enough driveway for my housemate and I to be able to get our cars out, but I attribute that more to the fact that I'm out of shape and was using a pretty crappy shovel designed more for pushing than scooping.
 
been a little over 6 years since it last snowed here. we got an inch!
