I believe that people are basically good

And. . .

I believe that people are basically bad

Thus, I believe there are no good people or evil people.

I believe the saints and the sinners are one and the same.

I believe in sin. I believe it is many things and that these things are actually the same thing:

--anything that harms myself or someone else
--seperation from God
--the opposite of love
--breaking God's law


I believe that every good, enjoyable, and pleasurable thing is not sin, and that things that are often, and perhaps rightly, considered sinful that ARE pleasurable and enjoyable are sin not because of the joy and pleasure that come from them, but from the hurt and heartache that often follow.

Well written Sean. And I agree. If you read about the lives of some "Saints." They were not perfect. BTW, I love reading your Sabbath Dispatch.
