Obama won Indiana. First time in at least 40 years that Indiana has gone blue.

Obama ahead in North Carolina with 100% of precincts reporting but for some reason it's still not called.

McCain ahead in Missouri by less than 400 votes with 99% precincts reporting.

Montain leaning McCain.

That the mainstream press shared your enthusiasm probably isn't a good thing but what are you gonna do?

All Americans can be proud tonight.
I appreciate your good will, INDY. It takes real character to say what you said. I hope you'll stick around to discuss and critique all that happens next.

If only more people could be like that. But of course, then every day would be like a disney movie.

I've never posted this much in FYM - it's scary. I keep waiting to get attacked from behind or something.

I finally watched Obama's speech. I did OK until he mentioned his grandmother and then I started to tear up.

Ok, end results: 364 to 174 with a much clearer popular vote this time.

i am thrilled by a decisive Obama TSUNAMI.

i remain devastated by what looks like a loss in CA on Prop 8.

but no matter.

i will continue to demolish those who oppose the dignity of gay people.

and i do mean demolish.
