Texas special pups

How's it going I just purchased the Fender American Special vintage
70's black Strat and it came with Texas special pups. Has anyone here
had experience playing U2 songs with these pups? I'm not sure if I'm going
to change them out for the Kinman woodstocks

I ha e the same guitar. I think it sounds great. I don't think you need to swap out the pickups but that is up to your ears/budget.

Just making sure, but these Texas pups are made to somewhat copy the sound of SRV, right?

If it sounds good to you, keep them, if not, either only then start looking for replacements. Or learn how to make them work. I quite like Texas Specials though. Had some in a Tele that really rocked and I bought a set for a new guitar I'm building.
