Simple chord versions

Hi guys,

I'm trying to teach myself guitar and really want to learn some U2 stuff. I've been attempting the live version of "Yaweh". The rhythm is tripping me up a bit and that damn F chord!

Thanks Ladera....I saw that and that's how I started playing Yaweh. I'm looking for some other songs that have good simple chord arrangements. Thanks anyway, though!

Another really easy one is the acoustic version of Stay! It's basically an E chord....hold your fingers in the same position and slide down a few frets for the next chord, and then a few more for the next, and go back to the E! That's the majority of the verse...one of the first songs I learned how to play on guitar.

How are you playing your F ??

There are some ways to cheat-

'Real' F:

Nice and simple C Am F C

If you can play the F the proper way (133211) - you will build the strength in your fingers pretty quick. Likewise, you skin on the finger tips will harden and the skin on the 1st finger from the barre.

The chord progression is easy C to Am and F to C, but you will need to build the F chord from scratch to get from Am to F - but its good practice.
