i have no problem with U2 trying to please everyone(diehards, casual, and potential new fans). it's a smart business move. if i were in their position, i'd do the same thing.

The IMAX probably will be released on dvd. Many IMAX films are, especially big budget ones (i.e., "Jordan to the MAX"). Even low-budget ones about the ocean or airplanes end up on dvd. You don't get the "IMAX effect," but you also don't get the movie theater effect when a normal movie is put on dvd.

Yep, if there was a really good reason for piracy then U2 are creating it with their latest release. If you don't want a load of songs that have been released before then piracy is the answer.

If you dont want the singles CD give it to somebody that might appriciate it....the DVD will only add a few dollars to the price if that. If you cant afford 20 dollars you have more to worry about then buying music CDs and DVDs anyway then.
