During Wild Honey, what's Bono singing there right after these lines:

I know your garden is full
But is there sweetness at all?

..........?

Lyrics online normally just go "oh oh oh" but it sure as hell doesn't sound like that on the record! lol.

Haha

Actually I found a website that lists those lines as follows:

What is soul?
Love me, give me soul

If that's really what he is singing there... lol.

I always heard

"What is soul
love me
give me soul"

At least this time you can hear him singing actual words. Compared to sometimes when it's pure wtf.

I thought he was saying, "Love me, feed me some."

It would be hilarious of they just put "???" on the official lyric sheet when Bono does stuff like that.

i've always heard 'love me if it feels so' or something to that effect...it doesn't make a lot of sense, but that wouldn't be a first
love this song, at first i thought it was a bit silly with the monkey analogy but over the years it's grown on me; edge's harmony is so lovely.

I kind of like the pure WTF. But then I'm also a big fan of Van, who made a spiritual discipline out of going WTF into a microphone.

That song is, as Adam says, a bit of "Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da", but so sweet, I like it.
