You do realize that Trump's most recent baffling, incoherent and insulting remarks toward veterans are only this week's edition? The way he speaks about veterans has been an achilles heel for him all year. He really doesn't give a fuck about veterans, or anything besides getting elected, really. Everyone is just pointing out the obvious.

Insensitive corporate stooge vs out of touch lifetime politician, who cares, it's all bad.

If you are speaking of TRUMP's comments about John McCain's service then of course i am aware and i do take offense to that. He should have apologized for that and moved on. Same for the comments regarding the Khan family.

I don't necessarily believe that keeping the country safe and secure is racist. If i did then i suppose it is racist to be in the military.

Why do people live in gated communities? Why not just tear down every wall, fence, etc?

I believe there is a rather substantial difference between words and actions. If some asshole makes a comment that is offensive then he is an asshole. If some other asshole has voted for a war that has resulted in the destruction and destabilization of an entire country - hell - region, of which a new and more vicious terror organization has been created, and this asshole has been responsible for losing sensitive classified documents - potentially putting more lives at risk - and then lying about it, and then lying about the lies, and then having her husband's former appointees cover it up for her, meanwhile her "charity" organization is taking money from people who torture/rape/murder women, gays, and many other people, then that person is a much larger asshole.

We've seen the much larger asshole in action, so to answer your question i do believe that HRC is more terrible/disrespectful to her fellow human beings than her opponent.

And please note, i am being civil and not "huffy" as you put it earlier. FWIW i had a Huffy bicycle as a child and it was yellow and blue.

A ban on all Muslims is not racist?

If Trump was in that position, would he not have voted for the war? Despite his proclamations, the one time he spoke about it before Iraq turned into a shitstorm, he said the invasion was right.

It is impossible to know either way and therefore it is pointless to even ponder.
The difference is she voted for it and he did not. End of story.

"Muslim" is a religion, not a race

And according to Mike Pence, Trump doesn't believe in banning all Muslims from the United States anymore.

So, you know, that's a feather in his cap. Things are looking up.

A ban on Muslims coming from the region until properly vetted, i believe is what he called for. Correct me if i am wrong though.

And back to my point, what about some of the Clinton foundation donors and their treatment of women/gays? Would you support taking money from countries where homosexuality is a sin punishable by death? Adultery as well?

Cesspool is correct. And did Mrs Garrison come back on a time machine? It's Mrs G circa 2011

I'm on a phone, and won't be typing too much, but he advocated a ban on all Muslims. This is what really excites his base and what made him catch fire in Novembernof last year.

I think you work with the countries you have, not the ones you want. And through various means of soft power and diplomacy and modernization you change attitudes.

That is funny. You are ready to cut someone a lot of slack for not being engaged politically for 90% of his life and on the other hand, you act like the iraq war was entirely hillary's doing. Could it be that you are biased?

And, I am sorry, it is not impossible to know either way. It is on tape. He thought America should wage war in Iraq. That is more than a little relevant when the guy keeps saying he was against iraq before anyone else when in fact, by conservative estimates, he was the 2,643rd guy to speak out publicly against it. So on every other thing he says that suits your political outlook you take him on his word, but him telling howard stern that iraq was the right decision is that one statement too many?

He has not been in politics so we can't scrutinise his votes. But look at the racial divide and the fringe racism he has already brought to the fore in the country just through campaigning. Why do you think he will be better when he actually has power? He is also a crap and corrupt businessman btw, don't believe what the media on the right tells you to the contrary.

Trump University. End of.

"Islam" is a religion. "Muslim" is an adjective that describes someone who practices said religion

Sorry I just wanted to make Irvine feel better. On another note, I spent a good 15 minutes trying to look for what the grammatical term is for this. You know, like how a demonym is what you call someone from a certain place. An enthonym is what you call someone from a certain ethnic group....

What do we call that? A faithnonym? Let's go with that.

If you take nothing from this video whatsoever, listen to the part between 4:43 and 5:07.

Personally i think he is onto something there. Whatever happened to being liberal and/or tolerant?

Dude, you're barking up the wrong tree on this one. I don't give a shit what some gay boy who has some chip on his shoulder about being different is saying. I listened, and to be honest, he just seems like a twat. And his dumb little thing of taking pictures of twinks with Trump hats... I really don't feel like explaining the vapid gay community sorting hat to you.

How do you like that for tolerance? Do you think somehow you're just 'getting through to me' because 'a gay guy' said something that defends your view? Fuck the sorting hat. Fuck the classification. Fuck the generalization.

That dude is a twat. Do you know how condescending this video is? Glad a Trump supporter is gay. Cool story, now he can victimize himself by claiming people don't accept him, and then he can play the gay card. Great story. Proves nothing, other than the fact that your sexuality doesn't stop you from being a total fucking dickhead.

The corrupt, lying, warmonger Clinton only supported gay marriage 3 years ago, when it was convenient for her.

In fairness, Clinton ceased to have a position on SSM in 2009 when she became Sec of State because as a member of the Obama administration she was required to support their position, which did not "evolve" until 2012. By 2013, when she left the State Department, she was in support.

Just because Democrats are political cowards doesn't mean that they aren't much better than the alternative, and we're now at a point where homophobia is a political liability, not an asset. As a married gay man, I'm very proud with how quickly this country has changed on this issue.

Ah, I didn't think this thread was going to be political when I saw other posters complaining about it. Or at least I figured it would be whining about the band ponying up to corporate power rather than people actually shocked that Bono dislikes Trump.

I honestly have a legitimate complaint because if I had known this damn concert was going to happen in the friggin' parking lot, I might have gone down there to try and see it from the right vantage point or at least listen in. Kind of feel like I might have missed out on a free show.

My apologies if you found that offense. You don't have to explain anything to me either.

I do find it odd that he has "friends" who said they wouldn't be seen with him after he was outed as a gay conservative. That was the point i was trying to make i guess.

People are always asking me "why are u2 afraid to release the single? When are they going to release the single?" Folks. Let me tell you, the single is incredible. I've heard it. Believe me. The best single in years. Tremendous single. If I were u2 the single would be out now. Bono? Afraid to release it. Not me- Trump May 2016

It's incredible folks, I meet people all the time, incredible people by the way, tremendous character, all of them, and they say "would you have released that single?" Believe me folks. Believe me. I would never have released that as the single. I have way better judgement than that folks. Never would have released it. Bono released it and it was a huge mistake. Incredible mistake. - Trump December 2016

I'm just now getting around to watching videos of last night.

First impression: wow, what they did to California is great. I hope this isn't the last time they play it live. It's also the only song from SOI that really means anything to me now, so there's that.

Second impression: Bono's Trump rant was spot-on, especially for the circumstances and crowd. One of the best BTBS performances ever.

The truth is Hillary voted for a war that has led to the deaths of many many people of many different backgrounds. In fact it is still going on today all of these years later. Sure she didn't start this war, however, she voted for the authorization for use of force. TRUMP did not have that vote so whether he was for it / against it / likes pie, it really does not even matter.

And, I am sorry, it is not impossible to know either way. It is on tape. He thought America should wage war in Iraq. Again, actions speak louder than words. Hillary voted for the war, TRUMP did not. Actions speak louder than words. And her actions have resulted in a lot of dead muslim men, women, and children. Also worth noting, a lot of dead and wounded Americans too.

One could point out that the racial divide hasn't exactly been Disneyland since Obama took office either. Is that all Obama's fault? If a white cop shoots a black person on the street is that Obama's fault? Or i guess you might say that is TRUMP's fault?

Trump University. End of.

it is worth noting that just because a person does not like one candidate it does not automatically mean they are in love with the other. Just as many here will say that HRC is not their ideal choice, i will say the same about TRUMP. Is that fair?

Look, my point is that dumb people exist in all corners. I've made this point about the whole republican v. democrat thing a while ago. Just because I tend to think that a democrat is more likely to support something I want supported doesn't make them inherently smarter than a republican who does the opposite.

What you've done is looked into the face of a stereotype. Yes, they exist for a reason, but no, they don't represent everyone. The very title "Twinks4Trump" underlines how shallow of an individual this guy is. How much he loves fitting in, or perhaps intentionally bending what it means to fit in.

There is no "outing" as a "gay conservative." Or perhaps there is, but his friends are just idiots. Gay people have different political views. Some are democrats. Some are republicans. Some are libertarians. Some are socialists. Some are independent. They're sort of like, well, everyone else. I know plenty of gay people who might otherwise be conservative. And religious. And, that might make someone scratch their head. But that's just because there are so many people out there that might only have a small portion of the stereotype you're looking for to group them with a sorting hat.

But yes, most gays are liberals. Why? Because the Democratic Party has decided to actively, vocally support their livelihood. It's especially more common for a gay person to be liberal when they choose to be more open about their sexuality. This shouldn't shock you.

Look, I'm not ragging on you for voting for Trump or whatever other decisions I think are stupid. I don't think you're inherently a bad person. I've gotten the opposite impression. But, an overly produced video from some post-college airhead going through an early life crisis doesn't mean anything. He's just a regular person, and he thinks he is special.
