Alright, so here's a massive poll that I'd like as many people as possible to partake in. The hope is that the results will be hand delivered to the band or that they'll at least be pointed in this direction to see them. If the band can see clear evidence of what hardcore fans want to hear, we may be in for some nice surprises next year.

I've included every song that wasn't performed five times or more on the last tour with the exception of the ones from SOI (including its bonus tracks). So, from U2 Three to "Invisible" it's pretty much all here.

The poll requires you to pick 25 songs (roughly a setlist).

Classic Songs for the Next Tour Poll

Fun idea. An evil part of me wants to select the 25 most bizarre choices.

Drunk Chicken!
Elvis Presley and America!

Can we see the real time results?

Not sure that's possible, but I'll at least list the top choices as this goes on.

For what it's worth, five ballots so far and three songs have received 100% of the vote (Gloria, Mofo and In God's Country).

Me too! AAAHAHAHA :lol:
I love that crazy song.

EEEElvis... white trash
EEElvis... the Memphis flash
EElvis ... didn't smoke hash
Would have been a sissy without Johnny Cash
EEEEEElvis

That's actually Elvis Ate America off the Passengers album, and would be an even more bizarre choice than Elvis Presley AND America. ;)

AH, Ok, your correct, I got those 2 songs mixed up :)

So it should go like...

AAAAAh, don't talk to me
AAAh, don't talk to me
Don't talk to meee

and You know... like no one told you how
But you know... like I forgot the entire lyrics to this song

A Sort of Homecoming has now joined the four-way race for the top. It's tied with the three I mentioned earlier. Interesting album cuts from all eras are doing quite well.

I'm personally expecting a surge for Acrobat.

OOOh come away... I say
OOh come away...OOh come away
I say
And you know... it's time to go
Through the sleet and driving snow
Across the fields of morning
To a light that's in the distance

And you hunger for the time
Time to heal... desire... time
And your earth moves beneath
Your own dream landscape

Ooooh, don't sorrow,
No don't weep for tonight, at last
I am coming home
I am coming home
I am coming home :rockon:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please don´t mind me singing by myself.
I am stuck here at work for 8 hours with no RADIO and
no Speakers on the stupid computer !! :(
At least I got some music inside my mind.
A Sort of Homecoming was one of my 25. I ended up picking a lot from Boy to Unforgettable Fire as I haven't heard most of them live, especially Two Hearts Beat as One.
Also, if you want to know which survey was mine....I'm the guy who picked Some Days are Better Than Others and Babyface! Don't like that album but I do enjoy those songs ;)
Also, I'm posting these results as they come in as some people get a kick out of them, but please, don't vote strategically. Vote for the 25 you most want to hear (or even the top 25 you could see them actually playing) as the end vote totals are what will matter.
And seriously, Hawkmoon? Why?
Hawkmoon's one of my favorite U2 songs of all time. At first, I thought it was a cover of some old song because it was so good and different (my early u2 fan days). Then I realized it wasn't and I couldn't believe that it's so underrated.
How many people voted for Babyface????
;)
4 out of the 33 respondents have voted for "Babyface"...I personally love the song, but don't think it would be much live, especially in 2014.
Not much chance of an Oh Berlin surge I guess. Maybe Hawkmoon can get up near the top, the Lovetown Sydney version is one of the best things they've ever done.
36 Ballots In:
Hawkmoon 269 - 15
Kite - 14
When I Look At The World - 11
Promenade - 8
Oh Berlin - 1
2 things I got from this, I've heard ASOH twice live and really want to see it brought back out.
I really love POP, I don't give enough credit to this album in my U 2 world.
The two tour regulars that everyone wants to see live seem to be "Bad" and "Streets" unsurprisingly...
How will you consolidate all that? There is no limit for the 2nd and 3rd poll? We can vote for as many as we want?
I did not vote for EBW, SFS, CR and LH..... the rest HAS to be played live each show!
Yeah, polls #2 and #3 don't have a limit, so you could theoretically vote for zero songs from SOI or zero 360 regulars to return.
It will be best to keep the data separate from one another.
I also made a mistake concerning "Out of Control" as it had seven plays and should have never been in the first poll. I'll just keep it in both for now.
