In the final meetings after recording, U2 has a short list of album titles. They end up not picking the names we have come to know as Albums and go in a different direction.

It would take me an hour to brainstorm each album. Here are a couple thoughts.

"Borderland" instead of UF

"Vertigo" instead of HTDAAB

"Ju Ju Man and his Cockatoo" instead of NLOTH

(in a strange alternate timeline where U2 is tired of being in the studio and say fuck it, let's mess with the mainstream again)
 
"Choke On It" instead of "Achtung Baby"

1981 -- God
1983 -- Stadiums Beckon
1984 -- The Unforgettable Hire (aka: Eno & Lanois)
1987 -- The Money Tree
1988 -- Pretension & Ego
1991 -- Achtung Hipsters who used to be Nerds
1993 -- Album-from-EP-aropa
1997 -- (Taking a career) Poop
2000 -- Pop Hits Needn't be Left Behind in our 20s
