I am dying to know the story of Scott going up there and playing A sort of homecoming, anyone who was there (maybe even Scott!) care to give an acccount?

I wasn't there but had just a call from a friend of mine and she was totally mindblowned by the show. It had been a girl up onstage doing Edge's part in the bullfight in Until the end and Bono ran around the heart twice with her then. They had been really into it and the show was very intense and A sort of homecoming just made it.
She was very tired when I spoke to her but it sounded like one of the best she had been to ( she's been to like 15 shows or something).

That's pretty much what I could get out of her. LOL

"U2 on it?s own is a very interesting group and all. But U2 with it?s audience is a culture" - Bono

"Hur er leget? Was it right? Hur ?r l?get?" ~ Bono tries to speak swedish in Stockholm. Hur ?r l?get? means How are you doing? by the way.

Me? No, I wasn?t there ;(...but I loved the story, I got it thru e-mail from @U2 site, here it goes:
========================
Here's the full story of Scott going on stage:

His sign said "ME + GUITAR = PEOPLE? KNOCKIN'? WATCHTOWER?" Bono sees the
sign during "Angel of Harlem" and looks back at him a couple times. At the
end of the song, he says "This guy thinks he can play guitar!" Scott gets
pulled up on stage at the tip of the heart.

Dallas, Edge's tech, brings down an acoustic for Scott to play, and as soon
as it's strapped on, Scott starts in on "A Sort of Homecoming." Bono comes
over to Scott and, referring to the sign, asks him which song he wants to
play. (Aside: Otto told Scott that the whole time this is happening, Edge
has a dumbfounded look on his face like 'What's this guy doing?!') Scott
keeps playing and gives a Bono a look as if to say 'Listen to what I'm
playing.'

Bono and Edge figure out what Scott's doing. Edge walks over to him and says
"If we're gonna do this song, you better come up to the main stage!" Scott
follows right behind Edge up the catwalk. Mike says Scott looked and winked
as he walked by (major loss of style points for the cheesy wink!).

Bono is still down at the tip and starts talking about the song, something
about Van Morrison, blah-blah-blah. Bono was making up some of the words.
>From what I heard, he remembered the bridge and chorus. At one point, Scott
says Bono pointed to them on the main stage and said "Just keep playing
while I remember it!" They eventually wrap it up, it sounded terrific on a
cellphone.

After the song, Dallas and Scott shake hands. Scott and Edge hug, Edge tells
Scott "We haven't played that one in a long time!" Scott says "I saw you
play it at Slane 1 this summer." Edge: "You were there?" Scott: "Yes!"

Scott heads down the catwalk toward Bono at the tip. Mike says he was
strutting like the King of the World. Scott and Bono whisper for a moment,
Scott tells Bono his name. Bono tells the crowd, "His name is Scott!" and
everyone goes nuts.

For those still reading this far, I offer the strangest moment of the night:
As Mike and I are talking on the phone, I hear a loud cheer in the
background. I ask what happened, and Mike tells me that Scott just came out
of the bathroom.

Now, that is a cool story, isn?t it?
