What's up with the Montreal GA policy??!!

I was talking to a friend who told me:
A friend of mine called the Molson Centre twice and clerk told him a Molson Centre employee would choose randomly 300 persons, once everyone will be in the building, to get in the heart. There 's no use to be there early he said. He called twice to make sure it was accurate, and the people told him the same thing both times.

DO NOT LISTEN TO A WORD THEY SAY!!!! They had absolutely no clue on the first leg. In fact they said the same thing. The best one was when they said the band was going to pick who was going in the heart and that you could be picked from anywhere in the audience!!!

I can't believe they didn't learn from their old mistakes. It was a complete fiasco. Get in line just like you would anywhere else. But watch out - during the first show about 200 people got in front of me (I was #50 something). I did get in the heart but I am really surprised nobody got hurt. It was a complete mad rush.

They did get it right the 2nd nite though. I can't believe they are telling the same story.

Ahhh sorry - I'm just getting mad at the thought of the Montreal mess again!

I was told the same thing in Miami back in March and heart selection ended up not being at random, but by the order that you arrived. So like Mysterious_Ways said, don't listen to them. The arena will be "in the know" when U2's team briefs them.
