Picked up Ghost of Tsushima again after taking a 5 month break. Totally had to relearn the combat system.

Went to a Nintendo Switch 2 midnight launch at a local independent store last night, rocked up an hour early which was just enough to net me a free bag of swag. Set it up before going to bed, so while no verdict on Mario Kart World the actual build of the console is fantastic. Bigger, light and comfortable to hold. Internal functions and the eShop run instantly. I've got Friday and Monday off work and looking forward to a few Grand Prix races with the fam.
Wasn't initially going to get one but then FOMO struck, plus every other console seems to be going up in price and not like Nintendo are known for discounts when they're selling well. No shortage of stock around, but it seems we've been supplied in excess of population.

Ahh that's awesome to hear man! I'd love to play stuff like Mario Kart more, sounds like I need to get myself a family haha.
The $699 price spooks me, particularly given the launch price of the original Switch was $469 from memory... so that's a $230 increase... just accounting for inflation, it should only be $599.
But, my Switch is in pretty poor condition and I'm so ready to upgrade. I think I'm going to drop in to EB Games and try and do a trade-in.
