Apologies if this has been asked before, but is there an ultimate list of u2 tracks to date- including bsides , covers etc ??? If not can we start our own?

Why not the Acronyms thread? It's at http://forum.interference.com/t146467.html and lists almost every U2 song. It doesn't have all the unreleased demos, but it comes close to having everything.

Also, you mentioned covers. Go to U2-Vertigo-Tour.com and the lists there include all the covers U2 have done live. However, the site doesn't include songs U2 only did in the studio and never performed live, so it's not quite complete either.
