Amazing sound and picture! If you don't have it yet, go get it. Only 17.99..two DVDs. Awesome performance. "In a Little While" and "Gone" rock... I haven't watched it all yet, but this looks like a winner. U2!!!

I've watched almost the whole thing already-and I love it. Stay was great too.

Since I was at that show, in the heart, maybe I'm just biased. The director/audience/Bono cam parts are fun too.

GOT MINE AT BEST BUY THIS MORNING. NOW, MY ONLY PROBLEM IS I HAVE TO SAVE UP TO GET A DVD PLAVER! THEY SHOWED ME THE FREE 3-SONG CD THEY GIVE YOU IF YOU WAIT UNTIL FRIDAY TO BUY THE DVD. I DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AND GET IT TODAY BECAUSE THE SAME THREE SONGS (LIVE-BOSTON) ARE ON THE DVD, AND I WASN'T SURE IF THEY WOULD HAVE ANY DVD'S LEFT ON FRIDAY.

What 3 songs are on it? Even though I don't have a DVD player I might buy it just to get that and keep it until I get a player and watch it at my friend's house.

i believe the three songs from boston are--beautiful day, i will follow, and maybe 'gone'.

I went to the back where they usually keep the DVD's and nestled in there was the free 3 song cd. IT is BD, GONE and I WILL FOLLOW

Hermes:

Did you have to purchase anything to obtian this little gem? When I bought my DVD today, they didn't seem to know about it, but I suspect something from 7 AM to 12 Noon on Friday, as part of their promotional. Thanks.

yes it is!! i just got done watching it and it is simply outstanding. I had to drive 40 miles to another town to get it, but it was worth the drive. I'm a little bugged that they cut out One and the guy who played People Get Ready onstage, but i can't complain since i feel lucky just to have seen it.

I assume I had to purchase the DVD, they rang it up when they rang up the DVD.

The DVD is amazing, though I'm not sure I have tha hang of the multi angle feature yet.

I just finished watching the DVD! WHOOO HOOOO! It's AMAZING! I had to go out and spend 100 bucks on a DVD player, but it was so worth it! So cool how you can change tracks when you want! I'M SO HAPPY!

Although, I would rather be in Sacramento

, atleast I have some new U2!!!

At my local Best Buy, the free 3 track CD was placed next to the DVDs.. so, I assumed you had to buy the DVD to get the CD, but I asked at the register and was told that they were for anyone who wanted them, no purchase required... So I went back and grabbed 3 more for some friends.

Awesome DVD! Needless to say, the concert film rocked! I kinda wished there was a subtitle option, just so I can understand all of Bono's mumblings and improvised lyrics. The multi-angle feature is pretty interesting, it wasn't exactly what I expected, but it's cool anyway. It's interesting to see little things that they added and took out for the final edit. Hamish is, um, a very enthusiastic person; quite fun to see him at work. The making of documentary is good... I liked it. It didn't feel like another piece of U2 propaganda (no pun intended). The other extra stuff is alright, kind of a random selection of material.. no big deal.

I hope they give the future Popmart DVD a similar kind of treatment (Remember years back, when they were talking about releasing Popmart on DVD with a multi-angle feature, but it never happened?)... I would love to just have Zoo TV on DVD, with extra stuff or not.

Well I have a DVD player but one of my kids damaged the door thingy and now it won't shut!!!! (Let me tell you how annoying that is.) So here is my question does anoyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this, and if not are they going to have Elevation relased on VHS?

It is quite amazing. I've on my second viewing. The different camera angles are quite different. The Bonocam is only used intermittedly. First 3 songs or so. I'm too lazy to check. They also have a heart cam which is quite good. Its just like a fan took the video. The quality of the fan cam doesn't compare to the "official" cameras. Also, the sound doesn't compare to the "official" cameras. The sound from the fan cam is more like a 3.5 star audience recording via mp3.

The last camera angle is one of the video people in the studio. Interesting vantage point but I don't think I'll be checking that out.

One of the best features is the "making of the video". Its about a 1/2 hour long and provides good insights into how the whole thing was done.

On disk 2 you'll find the added tracks. Not really any surprise besides the fact that they ****ed up the listing of the tracks. On the DVD menu, they say that the beautiful day performance is performed in Toronto Canada. I thought that was weird when I was watching it because it didn't look like Toronto. It looked, rather, like Dublin. So I looked on the case and low and behold, they say the BD performance is from Dublin. Also included is Elevation from opening night in Miami and Stuck video that seems the DVD and case say is from France and Dublin. Go figure that out. Its more of an MTV video, so I bet there were shots in both france and dublin.

I'm tired of talking. I'm sure someone else will explain it better and more completely. I'm beat.

I love the DVD...I wanted to know if anyone from here came out on camera? Was that Otto I saw in the 'Making of Elevation Live'? Great show as they all have been...my fav songs were The Fly; Wake Up, Dead Man; and With or Without You

Hope everyone gets to see it

WWJND?

Also included on disk 2 are Zoo Station from Sydney ZooTv and Mofo from PopMart Mexico City. They are listed as trailers so I think its safe to say that both of those performances will be released as DVD.

I absolutely LOVE this DVD. Great sound and image, great production, great extras. It's just wonderful!
And Hamish is so cute when he's dancing in the control booth and giving direction at the same time, sometimes singing direction to the song.

I also liked how he said he doesn't get what the members of U2 are talking about because he's not an intellectual.

so why is the Edge so mad at his guitar, and during the making of it looks like he's yelling at Larry.

was a mistake made that I missed?
