Such a haunting, beautiful song.. it just doesn't quite 'gel' on the record... but I think it would have been amazing live, maybe a little louder, more attention on the Edge... or as a quiet acoustic number a la Stay. Speaking of which, they did play it once at the end of Bad in Kansas City... there used to be an mp3 up on U2guatemala.com, but it's not there anymore. It's quite, quite beautiful.

I love that song, much more so then Peace on Earth. I would have loved to hear it live.

The Irish been coming here for years. Feels like they own the place.

All That You Can't Leave Behind is my album of the year! :p

I agree 135%!!!!
God...what a song...and that snippet from Kansas justabout killed me...I mean...how beautiful was that?

Maybe they will play it in Europe this summer. If a new album isnt done I think they will try to play some songs they didnt on the first 3 legs of the tour. I agree though, it is one of my favorite songs on the album. I think they could play a full band version with a little harder guitar feel like the song supposedly was originally.

Loveth the song!!

Heardeth it live in KC!! When they went into the song, I think that I squealed with joy!

It really is a beautiful song, and I'd love to have an MP3 of that performance...

Cool, I really agree too, loved it on the album, and well, it seems to me to be one of those songs that Edge could really tear into in the solo sense, something akin to BTBS or Last Night On Earth, yep, I think with the added touches it could be another live classic

I love that song so much it scares me!

I am torn about hearing it live, ... afraid that it might take away from the studio version. But if it is like most all U2 songs for me, I will love the live version even more.

I've got that complete show available in mp3 on my FTP server. The address is in my signature.
