Electric Nebraska?
They should do a mammoth Nebraska/BITUSA box set to coincide with the movie. It can show the origins of that time period, from the Nebraska demos to the BITUSA sessions, and how some songs evolved to be on the latter while others stayed in their demo form for the former.

Then they can release Tracks 2 as well which can be whatever else.

I think they will definitely release unreleased music to coincide with the movie, it's the perfect promotional tie in.

I've been following the filming of the movie on Instagram. Some fans actually think that Jeremy Allen White has to look like Bruce. Does Timothée Chalamet look like Bob Dylan?

It's all about the performance and the quality of the movie.

It's real - the long awaited box set of unreleased albums, mostly from the 90's.

First song to come out is By Your Side - the below was briefly up on a music site before taken down, possibly because the wrong year is on there.

Song dates from 1994/1995.

electric nebraska? or are they saving that for the movie?

edit - so is this, like, all of the stuff that he recorded in the vein of streets of philadelphia that he shelved?

The "electronic drum loop whatever you want to call it" album like Streets of Philadelphia is definitely one of them. Then there's the songs recorded with the other band before he decided to reconvene E Street for the Greatest Hits (which in itself has leftover songs). There's also other rumored full albums from the 90's that supposedly he did but never released (which explains the lack of actual albums released during that time).

I think there's going to be another release at the end of the year when the movie comes out. It will be interesting to see what that is - you obviously can't tell the story of Nebraska without going over how he did the songs with the band and ultimately went with the demos.

Are we sure Tracks 2 will be all stuff from the 90’s to the present?? I know a few of the Hammond demos are still unreleased because Bruce said “he wasn’t allowed to” for some reason. Not sure what else besides “Electric Nebraska” would be left pre 90’s. Thoughts??

So it's supposedly a set of unreleased albums from over the years, mostly from the 90's on, although there is the possibility of some stuff from the 80's like the LA home sessions that occurred between Nebraska and BITUSA.

There's still older stuff from the 70's out there (mostly the early 70's demos) but that doesn't sound like it's in play for this release.

He won't pass up the opportunity for a release specific to the movie and the publicity it will draw at the end of the year, so if they were ever going to release Electric Nebraska, you'd think it would be then. That's why this other set is coming out now, to give space between the releases.

Million dollar question - they are using that April 3 date extensively, so you would think it's dropping, but being an older artist, he hasn't really done that sort of release before, so who knows...

If I had to guess it would be the announcement and one song. Hope I'm wrong though.

Talking about “Electric Nebraska “ had me thinking, kind of a “crossover topic”, but IMHO, the Nebraska album and Achtung Baby are two of the greatest achievements in lyric writing ever.

nah i wish. saw them a few days later at Capital One Arena and then again at The Anthem.

there was a thought that maybe Bruce would show up at their show in Maryland last September because he had played at Nats Park the night before and was playing at Camden Yards later that week - but much like the thought that he'd pop up at the Pearl Jam show that week, it was for naught.

hell of a run of shows that week though. three of my four favorite acts within a 5 day stretch.
