I think there's a website that talks about all the songs and their meaning....anyone...anyone?
Basically, One is a song that can be interpreted in multiple ways...but it's about recognizing that "we're one, but we're not the same". It holds special meaning for the band, as it was the song that made them realize during the Achtung Baby recording sessions that they still could write songs as a band.
