Cool. It would be really easy to tie it to a Vegas trip. Zion is only about 2 1/2 hr drive from Vegas. You could even hit Chiefs at Raiders on Oct 27th

Weather in Utah is beautiful right now. Sunny and mid-70’s for highs. First snow visible on the tops of the mountains and the leaves up high are starting to change color. Football games all weekend. What could be better.

You coming to The National / War on Drugs next week?

Should still be warmish (60’s) in southern Utah Zion/St George area in November, especially first half of the month. Northern Utah (SLC) starts getting cold and some snow in November.

Weatherspark shows Zion avg highs as:
Nov 1st - 67
Nov 11th - 62
Nov 21st - 58
Nov 30th - 54

Our very own cobbler actually hiked Zion in late October last year. He may be able to tell you more.

I hiked Angels Landing in Zion in mid-late October last year and it was epic. Weather was warm. Sunscreen highly recommended. No snow, aside from what you can see on some of the mountains.

Ha.
Blame it on the dog. Started typing it and the dog started yapping at me to take her out, got distracted and clearly threw in a couple dozen extra punctuation marks.

Oh! Well?: Stuff" Happens'/

Blame it on the bird, always the bird! Walking on keyboards and typing while doing so is their special talent! Just don’t leave them alone in a room with your keyboard. You might return and notice 1/4 of your keypad is strewn around the desk or the floor. Ask me how I know 🦜🦜🦜

I think I may have posted about him once or twice, and I know this genre isn't huge around here, but my wife and I met and hung out with Marcus King and his band on Saturday night and got a chance to chat with them for about a half hour after the concert. Such a memorable experience. And if you're ever in the mood for Blues/Southern Rock, I highly suggest checking him out!

Debut album from indie supergroup The Hard Quartet is very, very good. Malkmus fans will find a lot to like and Matt Sweeney’s material is a great counterpoint. I’ve read comparisons to Wowee Zowee which is a plus for me as that’s in my all-time Top 5, but I’m hearing more late-period Malkmus/Jicks like Wig Out at Jagbag’s and Mirror Traffic, which is fine with me too.

The video for their first single is a hilarious parody of The Rolling Stones’ Waiting on a Friend, with Sweeney and Malkmus as Jagger and Richards:
