question about the grammys

I just watched the grammy replay this afternoon.


when the band went to stage to receive their grammy. edge said they had 2 grammys earlier but i didnt see them going to stage before that. was it prbably cut or they just didnt really show that part?

I haven't seen the Grammys so I don't know for sure, but I guess The Edge was referring to them winning 2 Grammys which were handed out before the broadcast. Since there are, I believe, 108 different categories for which an artist can win a Grammy it isn't possible to show them all being handed out. Many categories are also not commercially attractive (like Best Liner Notes or Polka Album Of The Year, etc.). These Grammys are announced before the show. It could very well be that U2 had already won 2 Grammys before the show had even started.
