So it seems Seth’s injury is legit. That sucks. Cant believe Summerslam is soon and it’s two nights and it’s in a stadium and I really have no idea what big matches we have for it aside from Cena/Rhodes part 2.

You know, it's funny. If WWE were a pro sports franchise, we would have found out the exact extent of Seth's injury, but so far nothing has been disclosed. He's been a major part of the show and losing him is tough. But WWE has plenty of guys who can step up and make up for his absence. There are a few matches planned for Summer Slam. CM Punk will be challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight championship. Jade Cargill challenges Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's title. Lyra Valkyria challenges Becky Lynch for the Women's Intercontinental title. Obviously, in the coming weeks will see more matches take shape.

It's everywhere, he's said it himself on some podcast. It's a real shame but I trust that they'll be able to write something good from it. The creative is as good as it's been since I started tuning in five or so years ago. I think they should write him as some malevolent Mr McMahon figure, injured, but on-screen and calling shots. Call in some real evil **** across the roster, and have Breakker and Bronson do the dirty work. Make Paul a total megalomaniac. I think part of why I personally don't feel Seth has been resonating as strongly at the moment is it's all just felt a bit soft.

Yeah, we all know he injured his knee. I haven't heard of a timeline or heard what the extent of his injury was. What have you heard or seen?

The idea of Hulk Hogan passing away is so weird. I know his post career life was very complex with the controversies I will just be nuanced I guess. I’m low-key bummed that the character is gone. The early Wrestlemania’s are so weird to watch now with so many guys from that era that have passed away.

No doubt Hogan brought wrestling into the mainstream. He did a lot of charity work during his big run in the WWF. As he got older, he became a bigger ****ing *******, though. His last WWE appearance was at WrestleMania 41 and he got booed for being a follower of Shitbag.

Yes, I agree. Hogan was the catalyst for wrestling's success from the 1980's and beyond. Hogan was the Babe Ruth of pro wrestling. McMahon had the vision and Hogan was the centerpiece.

His early matches literally put wrestling, and I don't think it's a stretch to say, American patriotism, on the map. He gave Americans someone, something, to rally around, which, as Bon Iver was saying in a podcast recently reflecting on performing The Battle Cry of Freedom at a recent show, is something we should look fondly upon: a centrepiece, a fire, that people from different walks of life can rally around, and indulge in shared feelings of joy and elation and connection. I think that's beautiful, even if I think he was a ****ing prick. And then the heel turn that defines heel turns, executed so well. The WM XIII match against Rock where people got to feel again, a generation after WMIII, shared joy.

Ok. My moniker is MrPryck2U. Hogan was no prick, He was an *******. There's a huge difference. There's no denying his impact on the industry. He abused his power that promoters foolishly gave him. Especially when he got older. He was the champ during the Reagan years. America was all about the patriotism. McMahon and Hogan capitalized on it. When he got to WCW, he really had them by the balls. He had his creative control clause in his back pocket.

Tonight’s tribute to Hogan on RAW was better (granted they had more time to edit the video tribute). Also the show is flowing nicely. We are a week away from Summerslam so they need to get us there.

I'm watching the Yankees, but I did see that tribute. Kind of a rehash of footage that they've shown in the past, but still pretty good. I miss the days of channel surfing. Jumping from app to app is way too slow. Lol!

I’m guessing for Lesnar to return last night he has to be legally cleared and removed from the Vince McMahon - Janel Grant lawsuit. It was a big moment I guess, but I’m going to just assume he is going to have a match with Cena and then leave again. The whole Cena run has been super wierd this year and putting him up against Orton, Punk and now Lesnar pretty much feels like they’re just playing his greatest hits version of his biggest feuds. Overall the second night of Summerslam was pretty fun.

I was pretty excited to see Lesnar return as a wrestling fan, but yeah, his behaviour is pretty gross. Night two was sick though. I was really surprised to see them play Cody-Cena straight. I felt Cena's "face turn" was gonna be him sucking Cody in to not make the killer blow again, or an easy option for Cody to turn heel. I wasn't expecting it to be played straight, but it really worked.

I watched all of Summer Slam. As a big CM Punk fan, I definitely hated the end of Night 1. Not surprised about the Rollins swerve. We never really got any specific details. It was a good swerve, though. Gunther and Punk had a great match. Cody winning back the title from Cena was great. Cena miraculously turned face in the blink of an eye. 2 faces in a street fight. Go figure. Lol! Lesnar returning is bad. He's not legally cleared of anything. WWE should not have brought him back.

Cena's Last Match Ever tonight on Peacock for Saturday Night's Main Event. He takes on Gunther. Could be a classic. Cena has busted his ass this past year. Will he win or lose? I think he loses but I hope he wins. Cena carried WWE for well over a decade. Sure, there were plenty of other great wrestlers in WWE over the years, but Cena was the face of the company. No easy feat.

The guy who never gives up, gave up. Lol! The fans in attendance wanted Cena to win. WWE had other plans. Gunther should be WWE Champion in 2026.
