Damn it you made me look and then I had to post something! :mad:

I am so sick of people fecking whining like little babies about the damn lottery system. Okay mother fuckers when you can't even buy a ticket for the GA, cuz they "don't have accomodations for people like you" as I was so kindly told by the people at the damn Oakland Arena, then come fucking talk to me.

I paid $400 for two tickets in the 7th row so that hopefully we could see the show. And it was worth every damn penny of it! People need to get a handle on whats important in life.

When I came out to meet my parents my mum was all watery in the eyes, I could tell she was holding the tears back. I love her so much. :heart:

:hug: Sorry I didn't mean to jump on you. I guess its just a sore subject with me. I get irritated, because of the fact that I dont' even have the option to be involved in any kind of GA. So I won't ever be able to see the guys up close and I don't think its fair that the damn venues can't do something about making it more accesable for everyone. That isn't really the bands choice I don't think and not your fault.

I didn't read everything, but I do understand where your coming from. The true spirit with which the lottery came from was not followed thru on. And I'm sure the guys didn't know that certain things were happening ie. certain people getting in due to help from certain employees. I can't say a whole lot, because I never was there to witness it in person, but I can understand how annoying this must be to alot of people who never had a fair chance.

I said in the thread, the ONLY thing that bugged me were the two times when I went later, only to find that there were no computers out. It wasn't that I didn't scan in, but that my chance to - which U2.com promised all of us - was taken away.

That said, it's an inherently flawed system, with a lot of opportunity for abuse, and those running it didn't exactly stop it when they could have. I'd rather see them go back to first come, first served.

It's the way people post in threads like that that irk me. There's a way of stating your opinion without attacking others, or automatically discounting their viewpoint just because you disagree. A lot can be said for listening respectfully, and a lot of people haven't mastered that skill yet.

Sorry that you can't do GA, I really wish there were something that could be done for you. :hug:

Or when tickets for your first hometown U2 show went on sale on the morning of your father's funeral, and you don't think you're going to be able to see them at all, then you can come talk to me. Okay, people?

Yeah, so some people got into the ellipse a lot. And I imagine many of the people complaining on that thread VP linked to are whining and moaning because they didn't. Big bleepin' deal now that the third leg's over, people. And, frankly, pardon my French, but who gives a shit what lottery system U2 used to determine who got in? I'm certain they used an override when I got in -- but I frankly don't really care.

We finally found one of our fake trees today. :drool: Its all pretty with lights on it now. The girls and I are going to put the ornaments on tomorrow.

:hug: I'm totally okay with it normally. Years ago when I managed to score a very rare ticket to a show for another band I realized that sometimes its just amazing to be in the building and to have gotten to hear the show. So I take that with me to every show. I always do some deep breathing and sitting in the car a bit and remind myself why I'm there in the first place.

I totally agree that people need to learn to respect other peoples viewpoints and opinions. Its incredible the stuff people will say on a message board that I'm sure they would not say in person. People need to realize even things in written form can be said with care and respect for other peoples feelings.

Is it wrong that I'm already sick of Xmas music playing in the mall?? It wasn't like I was over exposed to it since I really haven't been to the mall that many times yet, but for some odd reason I'm already really tired of it. Maybe it's cause I heard a bum playing xmas songs in Montreal before December even started......

We have two fake trees. :lol: I bought one at a yard sale a few years ago for $5 its gorgeous and I couldn't pass up a good deal. Its a sparkly white one that is 7 ft tall. Our other one is green.

I love decorating too. I just haven't had the energy yet, but Mr. Cat did the hard part today by putting the tree together and the lights on it. :heart:
