Ok, I admit. I watched a bit of the Brtiney Spears concert on HBO last night. And I realized something--- TVs, a square B stage, belly dancing. All Britney had to do was throw on some devil horns and Fly shades and I would have sworn it was 1992 and I was watching the Zoo TV tour.

Well, aside from the fact she was lip syncing and can't carry a tune when she wasn't ["Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know"? OK Brit, we won't let you be the last to know that you can't sing that song live without it sounding like crap].

Britany wasn't lipsyncing. Was there, in the first row next to her, could hear her singing unmiked. She's an entertainer like the old days of Rita Hayworth, Betty Grable because she can dance incredible also besides has a big singing voice. Her show was fun, and she was beautiful. The end when it is rain showers is pretty amazing. Would like Bono to use the wires and sail over us sometime too. He jumped off the banister at the Sports Arena, and he could do that again only with wires.

I do hope that U2live is joking. If you can't tell that Britney lip-syncs her fast songs (almost all of them) then you must be on crack. I watched a good portion of that Total Britney Live on MTV and it was so glaringly obvious, I almost felt sorry for the people with real talent that perform next to her. When she did sing on slow songs, it was fair to poor. Her history of lip-syncing is obvious as well. Every tv performance I have seen of her in a song where she is dancing around she lip-syncs. One time I saw her whack her mic by accident with her hand, it knocked the thing up past her nose and there was no sound of her hitting her mic and no pause in singing the song.
The kicker, I have a friend who saw her in concert, very close, and she said that her lip-syncing was laughable and that yes she was singing along with the song, but her mic was not on.

Anyway, I'm sure you were kidding, but I had to get that off my chest.

I was staying at the MGM Grand for the days of the Britney show, and have never seen so many Britney clones just clinging to the walls hoping to get a glimpse of her (as if she'd casually walk thru the smokey casino anyway).. the closest the girls got was an ugly member of O-Town whom they chased through the hotel.

Perhaps the saddest thing was a young mother (around 30) who had a 5 year old daughter who was wearing a platinum blonde wig with a black silk midriff and patent leather hot pants and the most makeup I've ever seen.
