What are all those random images of in the live version of Numb in ZOOTV? The one in particular that repeats many many times during the song is of that older lady. It looks like she is sewing but she might be doing something else. I particulary love the images of those black tribal leaders that are making those weird noises that you can also hear along with the image. Their sounds make the song sound so good.

If you have the best of 1990-2000 DVD it has the Emergency Broadcast Network remix version which is the same one they used for Zoo TV...

the images are meant to emphasise the point of the song. it's called NUMB!. the people in the clips are operating like NUMB robots, NUMB folks that fallen into a routine. they are NUMB.
