Our team lost to Nick Foles back in the day, so I'm not ruling anything out.

Bill Belichick, the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach, is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

In voting earlier this month, Belichick fell short of the 40 out of 50 votes needed for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame during his first year of eligibility, four sources with firsthand knowledge of the outcome told ESPN. Belichick received a call from a Hall representative last Friday afternoon with the news that he won't be inducted into the Hall in Canton, Ohio, this summer.

I think he should have made it, but I can't help but if the fact that the Patriots were caught cheating twice played a role. I didn't really care about the deflated balls. That felt like a witch hunt. But the Skygate issue to me still taints their first run, but winning 3 Super Bowls in the 2010's, just can't deny it. That alone should have him in the HOF.

So reality is it's just Bill Polian being a dick.

However, in a separate interview with the Worldwide Leader, Polian said that he couldn’t remember with 100 percent certainty if he had voted for Belichick, adding that he was 95 percent sure that he voted for a player and coach.

Sure, Bill. You couldn't remember one coach. Ok.

The committee's selective morality ends up impacting other coaches as well, as now they're going to end up being pushed down the road. Some of these guys are old and might not make it another year.
