First Q was rough for Mac, ball was sailing over everyone’s head. Settled in and made some nice throws.

49ers defense made the play to end game again. Something they seemed to struggle with last year. Getting that stop.

Thinking it’s gonna be a long year for the Chiefs. They’ll need to win the Iowa football way, defense and special teams….cause they don’t have the playmakers on offense for PM

That 4th quarter was nuts. That 64 yd FG woulda been good from 70, that was crazy. Russ was cookin' until that 500 ball he threw in OT. Sorry man, tough way to lose.

He was old Russ for 4 quarters and then reverted back to OLD Russ in the 4th.

And none of it would have happened if our backup left tackle didn't get hit with four penalties in 5 minutes.

In the end it's for the best. If the offensive line holds up the team is good enough to hang on the periphery of the playoff picture, and frankly we don't need some magic throw back season from Russ. We need him to keep the seat warm until Jaxson Dart takes over in week 5.

we got off that train even before his two stinkeroo performances to open the season.

the main issue here - as happens way too often - is that daboll and schoen are fighting for their jobs this year. the last thing you want when trying to make a decision between going with a veteran vs. a rookie is a coach and GM on the hot seat.

that being said - they all spoke glowingly about Dart - have him as the #2 QB after how well he played in the preseason (when it was expected that Jameis would be #2 before training camp began) - and began to find ways to work him in yesterday. but tossing him in three/four times a game to run RPOs is gimmicky, and by the third time they did it yesterday Dallas knew what was coming.

I'm ok with bringing Dart along slowly - but eventually they need to pull the plug. the same thing happened with Kurt Warner and Eli Manning - but that coach (Coughlin) wasn't coaching for his job when he made the call.

It is time

1-0

wow that the first giants win against chargers since 1998. Kanell vs Leaf

ha that works. Dart was actually pretty good in the first half.

Drake Maye looked great tonight. That's a big win for the Pats

Yeah, that was a fun game.

Crazy that the Pats lost not only that Steelers game but the first game to the Raiders who really stink. If they had their act together from the start they could realistically be 5-0.

One month into the season, it sure seems like there is no invincible team out there. There are literally close to 10 teams out there right now that could win the Super Bowl and I wouldn't be surprised.

Anything's possible in the NFL! :) I don't expect the Giants or Jets to be in the mix. The Pats looked improved after last night's game.
